What the Campus Card offers
Die Campuscard ist ein Ausweissystem für Studierende, welches die derzeit im Umlauf befindlichen papierbasierten Ausweise ersetzt. Die elektronischen Inhalte der Karten sind verschlüsselt und enthalten keine persönlichen Daten der Studierenden.
The Campus Card is an ID system for students, replacing the paper-based ID currently in circulation. The electronic data on the cards is encrypted and does not contain any of the student’s personal details.

Datensicherheit
Die Karten beinhalten elektronisch keine persönlichen Daten der Studierenden. Die Automaten rufen alle persönlichen Daten anhand eines Pseudonyms online ab, daher liegen in den Automaten auch keine persönlichen Daten vor. Fotos werden im Automaten nicht gespeichert. Die Kommunikation erfolgt verschlüsselt.

Data privacy
The cards do not contain any personal details about the student in electronic format. The machines access all personal details online using a pseudonym, so they do not store any personal information either. The machines do not store photos. All communication is encrypted.

Das EDSSI L2-Konsortium veranstaltet in diesem Frühjahr ein EU Student eCard Stakeholders
Forum. Das Forum findet vom 9. bis 10. März 2023 in Venedig statt und richtet sich
speziell an das technische Personal und das Management in den IT-Abteilungen der
Universitäten, die sich hauptsächlich mit der Umsetzung und Einführung der digitalen
Prozesse von Erasmus+, einschließlich Identifizierung und eSignatur, befassen.
Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, die wichtigsten Entwicklungen des EDSSI Level 2 Projekts
vorzustellen und Feedback zu erhalten: das eSignature und eArchive Modul für die
elektronische Verwaltung internationaler Prozesse und das eCard Modul zur Harmonisierung
der eCard Systeme der Universitäten in Europa.
Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos, aber eine Anmeldung ist erforderlich, da die Plätze

The EDSSI L2 consortium is organizing a EU Student eCard Stakeholders Forum this spring.
The Forum will take place in Venice from the 9th until the 10th of March, 2023 and
targets specifically technical staff and management working in university IT
departments, mainly in the implementation and uptake of the digital processes of the
Erasmus+, including identification and eSignature.
The event intends to present and get feedback on the main developments of the EDSSI
Level 2 project: namely the eSignature and eArchive module for electronic administration
of international processes and the eCard module to harmonise eCard systems of
Universities in Europe.

Über das Projekt
About the project
Europe’s flagship mobility programme Erasmus+ offers truly unique and life-changing
opportunities to hundreds of thousands of Europeans but comes with administrative burden and
red tape.
Back in 2014, this realisation pushed an ambitious group of higher education and IT
professionals to address this challenge and close the gap between the traditional
paper-based Erasmus+ management processes and the wide range of opportunities brought by
ICTs and the digital economy.
In time, the idea blossomed among like-minded higher education colleagues and gained the
support of the European Commission. Currently funded under the EU’s Connecting Europe
Facility programme (grant agreement no. LC-01560120 CEF-TC-2019-4-001), the EDSSI can
achieve its aim by delivering a core infrastructure that shall benefit student service
providers, higher education institutions and, most importantly, students.
Making Erasmus paperless and improving the quality of student mobility across Europe is now
a shared and reachable goal. Many European projects contribute to this endeavour and the
EDSSI provides the missing link to connect all building blocks.
